For the first time, I am offering this course in a workshop format on location in Kaiserslautern, which allows for a new focus compared to previous semesters:
We will spend part of the workshop days wandering around Kaiserslautern, equipped with drawing materials and a sketchbook. In this urban sketching part of the course, you will learn to develop an eye for exciting motifs, find interesting compositions, various drawing exercises and how to use ink and brushes.
In the second part of the course, we will take these drawings to the next level in Adobe Photoshop. You will learn how to give the black and white results a balanced color combination, add textures and effects and which file formats to use for different applications.
You will need various pens, rulers, scissors, glue, round and flat brushes, a sketchbook and a laptop with a Phot
We will meet at the beginning of the lecture period for one hour during a video call. On this date you will receive detailed information about the material list and the course schedule. I will inform you of this date as soon as the participants have been confirmed.
Until the actual workshop in August, you will receive regular drawing assignments that you have to submit online.
Registration: Write an e-mail with the subject „Anmeldung Illustration 101“ to hello@berndpegritz.com. The matriculation number is sufficient as the content of the e-mail. If more than 16 people register for the course, participants will be selected by lot. Registrations will be accepted until MO April 15 at 2:00 pm, no matter the order. Students who have never had the chance to take part in one of my courses have priority.
