The summer semester served as a collective workshop for us to compile a repertoire of works by Charlotte Perriand.
In the coming semester, we want to summarise and consolidate what we have collected, organise an exhibition and produce further ‘teaching pieces’ by Perriand.
‘Teaching pieces’ are didactic objects, models or experiments that serve to convey principles, methods and ways of thinking. They make underlying concepts, techniques, theories or design ideas visible and tangible in a historical context. At the same time, they function as critical commentaries that encourage reflection on what has been thought, built and its meaning.
The creative process involves joint thinking, discussion, further development and production. This joint project provides a platform for architect Charlotte Perriand and raises her profile. As a collective, we expand our architectural thinking and finally present the results in the architecture gallery.
As the seminar (elective subject possible by arrangement) is a continuation of the previous seminar, some places have already been allocated. A workshop will be organised at the beginning to facilitate access for new participants. Interested students from the 5th semester onwards are also welcome to participate in the seminar.
