The goal is to establish a cross-border university by 2040 that serves as a model for Europe. The UniGR promotes mobility, multilingualism and interdisciplinary collaboration in teaching and research and contributes to the development of the Greater Region through implementing its own degrees and study programmes as well as establishing cross-border research institutes and a strong commitment to societal issues. The UniGR sees itself as a real-world laboratory for European integration \u2013 a \u201eEurope in miniature\u201c \u2013 and is committed to recognizing academic qualifications throughout Europe, creating innovative study formats, and strengthening regional innovation potential. The University of the Greater Region is a network of seven universities: the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau, the University of Li\u00e8ge, the Universit\u00e9 de Lorraine, University of Luxembourg, Saarland University, Trier University as well as the University of Applied Sciences Saarlandes (htw saar).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Format | The Mobility Programme: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The UniGR Visiting Professorship is a funding format for members of the UniGR partner universities that supports cross-border research and academic exchange through a two-month stay at a partner university. Travel, accommodation, and event costs are subsidized, as well as the organization of a thematically relevant workshop or seminar at the host university. The goal is to initiate sustainable research collaborations, promote encounters in the Greater Region, and strengthen the visibility of UniGR as a European scientific actor. The results of the stay will be documented, publicly disseminated, and contribute to strengthening the common university space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Funding<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The seminar is realized with the kind support of the University of the Greater Region (UniGR) and the
